A small dictionary for a precise idea
Levidromes is an independent word-reference and puzzle site built around words that become different words when reversed. Its purpose is simple: make the pattern easy to understand, easy to search, and fun to practise.
Editorial approach
Entries are chosen conservatively. A pair belongs only when both directions are recognizable English words and their meanings differ. Short definitions are written for quick comparison rather than as substitutes for a full dictionary entry.
The games draw from the same word list shown in the dictionary. They do not create invented answers, and a replay simply selects another six pairs from the collection.
Corrections matter
Language changes, dictionaries disagree at the edges, and uncommon forms deserve scrutiny. If an entry appears misspelled, obsolete, duplicated, or too specialized, it should be reviewed rather than quietly treated as fact.
